Welcome

Migrant Health Service, Inc. (MHSI) is a private, non-profit organization established in 1973 that serves the health needs of migrant and seasonal farm workers (MSFW) and their family members. MHSI operates ten nurse-managed clinics and two advocacy program centers in Minnesota and North Dakota. Nurse practitioners and/or physician assistants are on staff at three year-round locations.

Welcome to our new website! Perhaps the most noticeable change is our new sunburst logo and updated color scheme. Watch for our new full-color brochures as well. This renovated website will be your source for the most current information about MHSI and also features a Spanish-language portal.

Five additional clinic locations go live with Electronic Medical Records (EMRs)
All 10 seasonal and year-round clinic locations are now live on EMRs. Nearly 50 staff members participated in intense 2-day training sessions to become familiar with registering patients and charting clinical information electronically.
EMRs are beneficial to help improve patient safety and continuity of care, especially among patients that seek care at more than one MHSI clinic throughout the year. Interfaces for laboratory results and e-prescribing are slated for implementation later this year.
